Fenechty publishing is currently accepting author submissions in the following categories. Instructions for submitting are below:

We are accepting submissions for our quarterly Anthology of Short Stories. We charge no fee and make no payments to authors, but we make nothing either. All profits to the Water Aid Charity.

We are currently accepting submissions from UK based authors for traditional publishing contracts.

We are a small company and only provide contracts to a small number of authors. This enables us to provide the comprehensive service they expect and deserve. We are seeking to make a limited expansion to our portfolio of UK authors to compliment the authors we already represent.

We do not expect our authors to pay any up-front fees prior to publication, we do not charge a reading fee, and we take on the entire work of producing and distributing books for authors contracted to us.

Our rates are comparable to most other publishers:
15% royalty domestic.
20% royalty overseas, film and television.

We are accepting submissions for our traditional publishing contract, but our limited resources mean only the very best submissions have any chance of acceptance.

A well written story with commercial potential is more important than genre, although we are NOT looking for non-fiction, screenplays, picture books, children’s books, poetry, horror, or erotica.

We will consider well written debut novels from new authors, and have a particular interest in supporting new authors located in Manchester or North West England.

In the first instance you should send an email (we do not accept submissions by post)

  • The body of the email should include a short cover letter, contact details and relevant details about yourself.
  • Your email should have two attachments in Microsoft Word and UK English format.
    • A full synopsis of your novel from start to finish (maximum of two pages)
    • The first 5,000 words of your novel

Due to our small size and large number of submissions, we cannot guarantee a response on manuscripts we do not represent. Reading time is generally between 6-12 weeks.

We do not insist on sole submissions and you are free to submit to other publishers or literary agencies.

Submissions must be sent to the following email:
